PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES FROM ANKARA ARE IN CULTURE TOUR

18 students with mental disabilities who reside in Ankara Social Care Accessible Recreation Center and 10 specialist teachers preferred Alanya to have their holiday.

18 students with mental disabilities who reside in Ankara Social Care Accessible Recreation Center and 10 specialist teachers preferred Alanya to have their holiday.  
Students who stay in Ankara Social Care Accessible Recreation Center Directorate took a culture tour with staff of Alanya Municipality Accessible Park and Recreation Center. The students who have been on holiday in Alanya for one week found opportunity to examine the historical and cultural and historical fabric of Alanya today. Besides, the activities and services given by Alanya Municipality to people with disabilities were introduced to students and their trainers. The visitors from Ankara examined textile model of Red Tower first and then they toured dockyard which was converted to an open air museum.


VISITORS EXAMINE TRADITIONAL ALANYA HOUSE

Students with mental disabilities who came from Ankara visited Süleymaniye Mosque after touring Red Tower and Dockyard. The group who showed great admiration to structure of Süleymaniye Mosque toured historical Ömürlü Kemal Atlı Culture House which locates in interior castle. The students saw structure of Traditional Alanya House and culture here. Students with disabilities were shown cocoon weaving and gourd art by the specialists of Alanya Municipality Culture House.

Ankara Social Care Accessible Recreation Center Directorate pedagogic trainer Serpil Çakır, who spoke highly of the services of Alanya Municipality, said “Alanya Municipality made the town accessible as a result of the works conducted for people with disabilities. While we were having holiday in this city with our students with disabilities, we encountered no difficulties. We found opportunity to examine all the services on site. We thank everyone who contribute to those services and we would like to present our special thanks to mayor Adem Murat Yücel.”
